The APUS JET Fuel Conversion Kit consists of everything required to replace the existing engine and propeller with the CONTINENTAL CD-300 and MTV-12 Propeller. It is delivered pre-assembled and tested, the engine will be mounted on the cradle with all engine mounted accessories installed.

The main components are: 
 

CONTINENTAL CD-300 engine 

  • CONTINENTAL CD-300 engine 
  • MTV-12 Propeller incl. Govenor  
  • Engine Indication Display (replacing the existing engine indications) 
  • Firewall forward installation hardware (new engine cradle, heat exchangers, pipes, hoses, harnesses etc.) 
  • New main battery 
  • Switches for engine control in the cockpit 
  • New jet fuel filler caps (larger JET Fuel size)

The conversion will make your aircraft an all new experience.

  • Less Fuel Consumption: Max. 40% less fuel consumption, 26% @75% power

Yes, the Diesel cycle engine brings in a little more weight. We expect a penalty in the region of 80 lbs compared to the normal aspirated avgas engine and 10lbs-20lbs to the turbo avgas engine. We’ll confirm these numbers once the prototype is on scale 

Yes, with the conversion kit you’ll be able reduce your carbon footprint significantly by using SAF in your aircraft.  

The first kits will ship in early 2026. We expect customers to be able to fly the demonstrator aircraft in mid 2025.

We expect the kit to ship in the region of 300 000$. We have a lifetime cost calculator available, reach out to us and we can find out together your individual costs and pay offs.

We expect certification with EASA by the end of 2025 and FAA validation early 2026. More countries will follow depending on request. Feel free to reach out early, so we can plan and speed up validation processes.

We expect to ship 15 kits in 2026 and double that in 2027, reaching 50 in 2028.
