Testing is an essential part of aircraft development. At APUS, all tests are performed in-house by our own staff.

The strength test on the tubular steel truss of the APUS i-5 100 recently took place.

This steel frame is being developed in a joint development program together with Rolls-Royce. The APUS i-5 100 serves as a test platform for hybrid electric powertrains with a maximum take-off mass of 4.8t. Several zero emission powertrains starting from gas-turbine hybrid electric powertrains up to fuel cell powertrains will be tested on this platform.
