Rolf-Jürgen Moll, founder of LucaNet, joins APUS

The APUS Group, based in Strausberg near Berlin, enters into a strategic partnership with Rolf-Jürgen Moll, the founder of LucaNet AG, Berlin. This is an important step towards the future for APUS in order to become the world’s first provider of certified aircraft based on green hydrogen as an energy carrier

With the new partnership, APUS will place its focus on the development, certification and production of emission-free aircraft based on green hydrogen.

About APUS

APUS was founded in 2014 by Phillip Scheffel and his team as an aviation design office and has been working on the future of zero-emission powered flight ever since. The 40-strong company is based at Strausberg Airport near Berlin.

APUS has been certified by EASA for the development of aircraft in 2017 and for the production of aircraft in 2022. In 2021, the company won the “Zukunftspreis” of the State of Brandenburg.

The goal of APUS is the development, certification and production of the world’s first zero-emission aircraft based on green hydrogen.

In order to be able to keep to the demanding schedule, APUS is hiring new specialists in all areas: from aeronautical engineers to student assistants, APUS offers challenging jobs in an innovative and motivated team.

The aim is to hire more than 15 new employees in the next few months.

Rolf is a passionate pilot and entrepreneur. In 1999 he founded LucaNet AG in Berlin, a global software provider for preparing financial statements, financial planning, reporting and data management. With over 500 employees, 3,500 customers worldwide and a network of more than 100 partners, you can find LucaNet today wherever finance teams need reliable data.

Rolf withdrew from operational management at LucaNet and has been passionately committed to all aspects of flying and sustainability ever since.
